Toto Toilets

Toilets have a thankless job to play in everybody's lives. They do their necessary jobs without any thought to the design that makes them work or the huge amount of water they use; no thought that is until something goes wrong and they stop working.

Toilets are the largest user of water in the home; paying attention to this fact when choosing new toilets for a new or existing home is an important step. Picking the right model will save money and maintenance for years.

TOTO Toilets: A Leader in Efficient Toilet Design

Toto is a maker of high-quality toilets and other products for the home and bath. They are a leader in innovation and design, and offer some of the best performing and high-efficiency toilets on the market. Green Home Source is proud to recommend Toto toilets for use in any of our green home designs to help contribute to our homes' overall high level of efficiency and sustainability.

Why Toto Toilets?

Toto has adopted a holistic design principle to incorporate performance, quality, reliability, efficiency, beauty and customer confidence into their products. And they've been doing so for over 90 years.

Toto Toilets and the Environment

From design to manufacturing to distribution, Toto strives to be the leader in sustainability. Their entire line of toilets has been created to use water efficiently without sacrificing performance.

Toto toilets use significantly less water that even the strictest standards call for. They have incorporated their "beyond compliance" toilet bowl and trapway designs into three flushing systems: E-Max, Double Cyclone, and Dual-Max.

Toto E-Max Toilets

The E-Max line of Toto toilets improves on Toto's innovative G-Max gravity flushing system. While the original G-Max system uses a 1.6 gallon per minute flush, E-Max uses a simple yet efficient design to require only 1.28 gallons per flush. This is 20% less water than 1.6 gpf toilets, and a remarkable 63% less water than older 3.5 gpf toilets!

Toto Double Cyclone Toilets

The Toto Double Cyclone flushing system uses an advanced hole-free rim design with a dual-nozzle bowl cleansing system. This creates a centrifigual, 'cyclonic' cleaning action resulting in a clean and powerful flush while using only 1.28 gallons of water per flush; 20% less than 1.6 gpf high-efficiency toilets.

Toto Dual-Max Toilets

Dual Max offers remarkable water savings with its dual flush feature. A push button offers two flushing options: a 1.6 gallon flush for flushing solids or a 0.9 gallon flush for a 'liquid-only' flush. Dual-Max provides unsurpassed water savings and excellent, reliable performance.

A Toto Toilet Design For Every Decor

All three types of Toto toilets are available in a wide variety of styles to match any bathroom. They are available with round or elongated bowls, one or two piece design, even wall-hung toilets with the tank hidden behind the wall. Models are available with a skirted design to conceal the toilet's trapway for a simple, elegant look.

Some models are available with Toto's patented SanaGloss finish, a super-smooth glazing designed to prevent debris, mold, and bacteria from clinging to the toilet's finish. This keeps the toilet fixture looking clean, and reduces the need for toxic cleaners.

Other models are available that conform to ADA accessibility guidelines for users with disabilities.

Toto Toilets and WaterSense

All models with the E-Max, Double Cyclone, and Dual-Max design are WaterSense certified to guarantee consumers that their toilets have been designed and independently tested to be highly water-efficient.

Other Toto Toilet Options

Toto offers several optional accessories, including the Washlet system, which fits on most elongated toilet models. Washlet uses a self-cleaning extending nozzle under the toilet seat to provide a comforting, warm-water cleansing, eliminating the need for toilet paper. The Washlet system also features a heated, soft close seat for additional comfort.
